Biography
Maryne Gouhier focuses her practice on a wide range of matters regarding Energy, Environmental and Public Law.
She assists industrial companies, investors and real estate operators with the development of their projects (from acquiring, permitting and operating to remediating, redeveloping and selling) regarding regulatory and transactional matters, including due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and renewable energy deals.
Maryne also represents companies in court and arbitration.
Prior to joining the firm, Maryne served as a law clerk for the Administrative Court of Melun. She also gained in-house and institutional experience training at a leading automotive company and at the French Ministry of Ecology.
Maryne graduated from University College London (LLM, Environmental & Energy Law), Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Master 2, Public Law) and Sciences Po Strasbourg.
Maryne is fluent in English and French.

- Assisted a multinational bank regarding regulatory aspects (Energy, Environment, Urbanism) of the financing of wind farm projects (42 MW)
- Assisted a major Chinese company on the acquisition of 86 sites of solar panels (249 MW), including the drafting of the due diligence report
- Advised leading companies of the automotive and chemical industries on applicable requirements in relation to the operation of their sites and industrial risks, and eased their relationships with Environmental Authorities
- Represented a multinational mining company in an ICC arbitration case related to an environmental guarantee
- Represented a French leading firm of the water treatment industry in relation to a tort claim and a concomitant judiciary expertise on water quality
- Assisted companies with the sale of numerous brownfields and former mining sites, including the drafting of the sales contracts
- Advised a major company of the aluminium sector in relation to post-closing issues regarding new environmental orders and financial guarantees]
- Advised a company regarding the development of small renewable energy projects in protected areas
