International law firm BCLP advised a banking pool comprising Caisse d'Épargne Île-de-France as senior MLA, Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies as MLA, and several other banking institutions, in arranging financing totaling 350 million euros secured by Apex Energies.

The other banking institutions included Bpifrance, Crédit Agricole du Languedoc and Caisses d'Epargne de Midi-Pyrénées, Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes, and Languedoc-Roussillon.

Apex Energies is a French renewable energy producer owned by Macquarie Asset Management.

This financing will support the construction of around 1,100 solar power plants in shaded, rooftop, and ground-mounted configurations, with a total capacity of up to 400MWp.

This is the largest financing package put together by Apex Energies to date.

The BCLP team comprised Partner and Global Co-Head of Energy Transition David Blondel, Senior Associate Gwenaël Fassot, and Associate Fabien Lambert on the financing aspects, and Partner Jean-Pierre Delvigne, Senior Associate Maryne Gouhier, and Associate Alice Léveillé on projects and energy aspects.
