BCLP advises Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC and Natixis on the €31 million financing of solar power plants
Sep 22, 2023Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) advises Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC and Natixis on the financing of a €31M portfolio of solar power plants.
This financing, which closes on July 21, 2023, will enable the construction of 55 photovoltaic power plants in mainland France and the French overseas territories by the end of 2024, covering a cumulative output of 32 MWp. Their annual production will correspond to the consumption of around 10,000 households, and will curb the emission of over 1,800 kg of CO2 per year.
The portfolio financed is particularly varied, including rooftop and parking lot shade solar power plants with different installed capacities, up to 1.1 MWp, and different development and electricity utilization regimes, including a self-consumption solar power plant representing 7% of the portfolio's total capacity.
This transaction confirms the active role played by GreenYellow, Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC and Natixis in the energy transition. Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC acted as mandated arranger and Natixis as hedging bank.
For this transaction, Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC and Natixis were advised by BCLP, with a team comprising partner David Blondel and senior associate Charles Sechao on financing aspects, partner Jean-Pierre Delvigne, senior associate Maryne Gouhier and associate Alice Léveillé on project and energy law aspects, and partner Christine Daric and senior associate Thomas Poiret on tax structuring aspects.
