BCLP is working alongside Groupe Volta as part of the acquisition of a stake in its capital by Groupe Siparex, along with Bpifrance and Socadif (Groupe Crédit Agricole). Eiffel Essentiel, a shareholder since 2021, is also participating in this new round of financing.

An independent energy developer that finances, builds and operates renewable energy production facilities, the Volta Group has over 100 MW of solar and wind projects in operation and is developing a portfolio of over 500 MW of projects across all its geographies, in France, Poland and worldwide. The group has enjoyed strong growth over the past 3 years, and should generate sales in excess of €20 million on an annualized basis by the end of 2023.

This transaction will enable Volta to accelerate the development of its platform, develop new projects and reach a total of over 1GW of projects in operation and under development within the next 3 to 5 years.

BCLP carried out a legal due diligence with a team comprising Jean-Pierre Delvigne, partner, Maryne Gouhier, senior associate, and Alice Léveillé, associate, on the project and energy law aspects; Kai Volpel, of counsel, Clément Tavenard, senior associate, Maël Bobard and Eloïse Loiseau, associates, on the corporate and financing aspects.
