Biography

Julie Catala Marty is a partner in the competition and distribution team which provides transactional and litigation services for French and overseas corporations.

Her practice encompasses every aspect of merger control proceedings before the French Competition Authority and the European Commission, bringing to bear deep cross-border experience on international cases. In addition, Julie advises clients with regard to foreign direct investments and foreign subsidies.

In litigation, Julie represents clients before the French and European courts in matters involving cartels, abuses of a dominant position, restrictive trade practices and distribution law issues. She also offers longstanding experience in handling State aid matters and provides tailored compliance counsel through standalone compliance programs and on an on-going advisory basis

Julie also handles regulatory issues (including before the ARCEP - College of Electronic Communications and Posts Regulation- and the ARCOM (French regulatory body for broadcasting).

She acts for clients in a wide variety of industries (eg. luxury, food, infrastructure) with a strong focus on the telecommunications and media sector.
