BCLP advised Heidelberg Materials France, a leading manufacturer of construction materials, on its acquisition of Entreprise Charles Moroni.

In France, Heidelberg Materials France manufactures cement, ready-mix concrete, aggregates and lime. The company employs more than 2,700 people and has more than 300 production sites, including nearly 100 quarries.

Through its subsidiary GSM, dedicated to aggregates, Heidelberg Materials France has acquired Entreprise Charles Moroni, a company specializing in the extraction, processing and sale of sand, aggregates and building materials. Founded in 1925 and based in the Champagne-Ardenne region, Entreprise Charles Moroni specializes in bulk extraction, packaged products, building materials and recycling.

Charles Moroni has been a family company since it was founded, and its shareholders have sold all their shares to GSM in order to ensure its development.

The BCLP team comprised partner Jean-Patrice Labautière, senior associate Armelle Royer and associate Eloïse Loiseau.

The Heidelberg Materials France legal team included Charles Clavreul (General Counsel and Compliance Officer) and Martin Blatier (Legal Counsel).
