In his capacity as a German qualified lawyer, Dirk is part of BCLP’s real estate practice group.

His legal practice focuses on clients from the real estate private equity sector. He advises comprehensively on all aspects of international real estate transactions, joint ventures, project developments, project financing (borrower side), corporate aspects and leasing, primarily in the logistics / light industrial and office sectors.

Dirk has also been appointed as a notary with office (Amtssitz) in Berlin since December 2023. As a notary, he provides the full range of notarial services as an independent holder of a public office.

Dirk studied law in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin, and is fluent in German and English.

TwentyTwo Real Estate – Advised on the acquisition of Center Parcs Allgäu, one of the largest and most recent Center Parcs in Europe.

BentallGreenOak – Advised on all aspects of the acquisition and development of “Mittelweserpark”, an industrial and logistics park near Nienburg in Lower Saxony, Germany.

London-based co-working provider Techspace – Advised on the lease of a new location in Berlin.

McWin – Advised on the acquisition of a majority stake in restaurant concept L'Osteria.

A world-leading asset manager – Advised on the acquisition of an office building in Dusseldorf. Single tenant of the property with a long-term rental agreement is one of the largest energy providers worldwide as well as one of the leading gas importers in Germany that moved in after a refurbishment in December 2019 and is going to use the office as their headquarters.

PIMCO Prime Real Estate GmbH – Advised on the sale of the former headquarters of Bayerische Versicherungsbank in Munich. The building complex Ludwig was purchased by family office Pacific Eagle Asset Management Ltd. from Singapore. Since 2013, the Boston Consulting Group is the main tenant of the property, which consists of three buildings located at Ludwigstraße 21 to Theresienstrasse 4-10 with a total rental area of 30.374 sqm.

Sirius Real Estate – Advised on the acquisition of a business park and an additional property in Hilden, Germany. The object was sold by WestInvest Gesellschaft für Investmentfonds mbH for the ​special fund Westinvest Interselect represented by Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH who sold the property by way of an asset deal for approx. EUR 54.3m.

Barings Real Estate – Advised on the acquisition of the logistics park in Montanstrasse 18-26 in Berlin. The property was sold by BEOS AG by way of an asset deal.

ARB Investment Partners – Advised the NIS ARB EDO fund managed by ARB Investment Partners on the sale of "stilwerk" in Berlin to CBRE Global Investors. BCLP has already advised ARB Asset Management on the acquisition of the property.

Allianz Real Estate – Advised on the sale of the landmark building “Hanseviertel” in the inner city of Hamburg. On 45,000 sqm, the property offers a hotel, offices, apartments, parking facilities and 9000 sqm of retail spaces.

Aegila Capital Management – Advised on the preparation of a joint venture agreement and the acquisition of the RellingHaus in Essen for more than EUR 140 million from Union Investment.

DWS (formerly REEFF Investment GmbH) – Advised on the acquisition of a residential project with 75 apartments and commercial space on a total area of 6,800 sqm in Leipzig from Urban Space by way of a forward deal.

DWS Group (formerly REEFF Investment GmbH) – Advised on the sale of office building „Campus 53“ in Frankfurt to La Française Real Estate Partners International.

Barings Real Estate Advisers GmbH – Advised on the acquisition of the "Roxy Palast", a mixed-used office and commercial building in Berlin.

HANSAINVEST - Hanseatische Investment GmbH – Advised on the acquisition of a logistics centre in the industrial and commercial area Erfurter Kreuz.

Invista European RE Riesapark PropCo S.à r.l. and its representative DPK Management Ltd - Advised on the sale of the retail property Riesapark in Riesa, Lower Saxony to French SCPI NOVAPIERRE Allemagne Fund, a fund managed by PAREF Gestion.

AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets – Advised on the acquisition of the shopping center “Tannenbusch Center” in Bonn, Germany.

HANSAINVEST - Hanseatische Investment GmbH – Advised on the acquisition of a logistics property at Manchester airport by way of a share deal for approx. EUR 45m. The property is rented out to Amazon UK Services for a period of 15 years.

Institutional Investor – Advised on the acquisition of an office building in Frankfurt.

HANSAINVEST - Hanseatische Investment GmbH – Advised on the acquisition of a logistics property in Liverpool International Business Park totalling more than 59,000 sqm of lettable space from Deutsche Asset Management in Frankfurt. A cross-border team of London- and Berlin-based lawyers worked on this deal with a transaction volume of GBP 50m.

Tristan Capital Partners (EPISO 3 Schloss GmbH) – Advised on the disposal of a mixed-used property in Cologne via an asset deal.

HANSAINVEST - Hanseatische Investment GmbH - Advised on the acquisition of the Holiday Inn Hotel at Frankfurt Airport (Gateway Gardens) from German Hotel Invest I GmbH & Co. KG by way of a share deal for approx. EUR 43m.

PIMCO Prime Real Estate GmbH - Advised on the purchase of the “Stettiner Carree” office building in Berlin for EUR 210m from private equity firm Global Asset Capital. The building is located in Berlin’s Mitte district, near to Nordbahnhof train station and is fully rented out to Deutsche Bahn AG on a long-term basis. The property was constructed in 2004 and covers approximately 61,500 sqm in space.
