Biography
Song Jung is a highly recognized, award winning intellectual property lawyer advising clients in all aspects of patent law. He counsels clients through numerous intellectual property litigation matters, including a number of the most notable and significant IP cases in the legal industry.
His experience prosecuting and litigating patents, handling negotiations and mediations to settle patent litigation matters, advising clients on technology transfers, joint ventures and other business transactions, and guiding clients through patent licensing opportunities has enabled him to assist clients as they develop, protect and capitalize on their intellectual property. Additionally, he regularly advises clients on inter parte review/covered business method review and ex parte reexamination.
Song’s practice covers a wide range of technologies and industries across national and international jurisdictions. He also regularly represents clients in oral hearings on appeals at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for domestic and international clients.
Consistently recognized as one of the world’s leading patent practitioners in licensing, litigation and prosecution, Song is a sought-after speaker, both nationally and internationally, regarding the application of intellectual property strategies in business.
Before practicing law, he was an electrical engineer at NASA where he tested electronic components for space flight projects that included analog and digital devices, memory components and microprocessors.
