Biography
Albrecht von Breitenbuch is a partner at BCLP in Berlin in the Corporate and Real Estate practice areas. He has more than 20 years of experience in advising on transactions, joint ventures, investments, restructurings and ongoing legal advice to national and international companies, start-ups and growth companies as well as clients from the public sector.
In his corporate law practice, Dr. von Breitenbuch advises on transactions and restructurings. This includes in particular the acquisition of companies, parts of companies or shareholdings (M&A). He frequently acts for foreign investors.
As part of his real estate law practice, Dr. von Breitenbuch advises on large and complex individual and portfolio transactions for investment funds, family offices and other institutional investors. He has extensive experience in general real estate law and the relevant issues relating to corporate law and financing aspects. He also supports his clients in the management, development and structuring of their branches and portfolios.
A further focus of his practice is advising start-ups and emerging and high-growth companies with technology-based business models, as well as assisting venture capital and private equity investors with their investments in these companies. Dr. von Breitenbuch regularly speaks at seminars and workshops for founders and supports them as a mentor.
Dr. von Breitenbuch is also admitted as a notary in Berlin with a focus on corporate and real estate law matters.
Before joining BCLP, Dr. von Breitenbuch was a partner in another international law firm. In addition to his Dr. jur. from the Humboldt University of Berlin, he also holds a Master's degree (M.A.) in Economics from Durham University in England. He is fluent in German and English.
