A BCLP cross-office team advised the trustee of the Mott Corporation Employee Stock Ownership Trust (Mott ESOP), the 100% owner of Mott Corporation,  during a recent transaction, marking another high-value and high-profile ESOP transaction for the firm’s ESOP Team. IDEX, known for developing and manufacturing fluid systems, optics systems, and other specialty-engineered products, will significantly enhance its market presence through this acquisition. Mott Corporation, an industrial machinery manufacturing powerhouse, specializes in the custom design and manufacturing of products across all markets-- particularly in semiconductor fabrication, energy transition, medical technologies, space & defense, and water purification sectors. The deal resulted in approximately $684 million in consideration for the Mott ESOP plan participants, representing a large premium over the prior year's valuation.

The BCLP deal team was led by Partners Rob Lystad and Steve Schaffer, with Associates Griffin Davis and Alex Richman; Partners Cass Hollis and Rick Arenburg; Partner Christian Auty; Associate Greg Linde; Partner Jessica Edwards; Counsel Lucinda Althauser; Partner Bard Brockman; Partner Ken Achenbach and Associate Aaron Lapniewski; and Partner Erin Brooks.
