Biography
Shanshan has experience in acting for lenders and borrowers on all aspects of real estate finance matters. She regularly advises clearing banks, investment banks, private equity funds, corporate borrowers, and real estate developers on high profile and often complex domestic and cross-border real estate backed financing transactions.
Her experience spans across the spectrum ranging from bilateral, syndicated, senior and mezzanine facilities, acquisition, investment and development financings of single and portfolio properties in the UK and continental Europe.
Shanshan always aims to understand and anticipate her clients’ requirements and to adopt a commercial and pragmatic stance on transactions, ensuring transactions get completed on time and in good order.

- Advised a top tier developer on its c.£770,000,000 development facility made available by a consortium of lenders to finance the construction and development of high end residential units in London.
- Advised an arranger on behalf of two non-bank lenders on the c.£67,000,000 development financing of a forward-funded build-to-rent scheme in Bath which provides more than 300 homes.
- Advised a joint venture between two prominent real estate investment funds in relation to a c.£116,000,000 acquisition and development loan facility in respect of a 1.5 million square feet forward-funded portfolio of logistics developments.
- Advised a preeminent asset management firm in connection with a c.£46,000,000 development loan facility to finance the development of a student accommodation scheme in Norwich.
- Advised a clearing bank on a c.£80,000,000 investment facility to a world leading investment management company in connection with the acquisition financing of four newly-built Grade A freehold logistics assets in Harlow, Greater London.
