Biography
Richard Ochoa’s litigation practice concentrates on general commercial, real estate and construction and complex insurance coverage litigation. His commercial litigation practice focuses on the representation of mid to large corporations and insurance companies in contractual, indemnity, unfair competition, fraud, warranty and employment litigation matters. His real estate and construction litigation practice includes the representation of real estate developers, prime contractors, lenders, title insurance companies and sureties in a wide array of real estate and construction disputes in the federal and state courts and/or in private arbitration proceedings. In his insurance coverage litigation practice, he represents Fortune 500 and other mid to large corporations with respect to primary and excess coverage disputes in the federal and state courts regarding comprehensive general liability, property, title insurance, life and disability, errors and omissions and director’s and officer’s liability insurance policies. Mr. Ochoa also drafts coverage opinions for and counsels major insurance companies with respect to coverage analysis, market conduct examinations, insurance insolvency and claims handling practices.
