Biography
As a member of the firm’s Technology and Commercial Practice, Patty practices primarily in the area of commercial agreements. Her focus throughout her time at BCLP has been on helping clients draft practical commercial contracts tailored to their unique needs, particularly with respect to supply, distribution, technology and other operational-type agreements, as well as template creation and form improvement projects.
She recently served as the co-leader of the firm’s Technology and Commercial team and was responsible for assigning project requests to team members and developing staffing solutions.
With more than 30 years of experience, Patty brings a strong understanding of commercial agreements to projects and clients of all sizes from her own real-world experience as a former business executive. Patty works to provide counsel that meets the legal and practical business needs of clients and, where possible, drives performance processes between the contracting parties.
Beyond her experience with law, Patty has held executive or management level positions at both private and public companies. Prior to joining BCLP, Patty was associate general counsel at a publicly held company. She previously served as Executive Vice President and General Manager at Husky Corporation, a leading design and manufacturing company for fuel nozzles and petroleum dispensing accessories. She began her career in the Ernst & Young tax department and worked in private practice as an associate at Polsinelli PC.
Patty graduated with distinction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and earned an undergraduate degree in accountancy (cum laude) from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
