Biography

James Jones is a member of the Real Estate Department in the firm’s St. Louis office. He focuses his practice on commercial real estate matters, assisting clients in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, financing, development and leasing across a variety of asset classes including office, retail, hospitality, renewable energy, and mixed use.

James earned his J.D. at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale School of Law, where he served as an articles editor at the SIU Law Journal and as president of the Black Law Student Association (BLSA). He also served as the organizer and moderator of the Town Hall on Criminal Justice Reform and Mass Incarceration.

Among his prior professional experience, James worked as a diversity & inclusion outreach specialist with Walker-Miller Energy Services in Collinsville, Illinois; as an external organizer with the Service Employees International Union/Local 1 in St. Louis; and as a lead organizer of Decarcerate St. Louis, part of Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment.
