Biography
Hugo is a senior associate in the Tax Advice & Controversy department. Hugo has experience in advising on corporate taxation matters in the UK and Australia, with a focus on real estate taxes. Hugo regularly advises on the tax aspects involved in a broad range of corporate transactions as well as property acquistions, disposals and developments including VAT, stamp duty land tax and capital allowances. Prior to BCLP, Hugo worked in the tax practice of an international Australian-headquartered law firm. Hugo is an Australian-qualified lawyer (Queensland) and holds law degrees from the University of Queensland and the University of Cambridge. Hugo maintains a keen interest in advocacy and is a former world championship winner of the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition.
