Biography
Fred Sgroi's practice generally focuses on the litigation of commercial disputes. His experience is broad and varied, having represented clients in the trial and appeal of cases involving claims of business tort, breach of contract, professional liability, and many other matters.
Throughout his 30-plus years of practice, Mr. Sgroi has also represented clients from many industries and professions in non-litigation contexts, such as assisting clients in their dealings with state and federal regulatory agencies, conducting internal investigations, and counseling clients on a wide range of legal and compliance issues.
Mr. Sgroi was previously vice president-law at a Fortune 100 corporation, where he led in succession the commercial litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and marketing and sales operations support sections of its legal department. He serves on the board of trustees of Legal Aid of Western Missouri.
