Biography
Frank Wolff’s practice focuses on the representation of nonprofit organizations and private business organizations. He has 30 years of experience representing significant nonprofits and private companies in all aspects of their operations.
Many of Mr. Wolff’s representations involve institutions central to the region’s culture and education. He serves as general counsel of the Missouri Botanical Garden and the Missouri History Museum. He also represents Washington University and Webster University on assigned matters. He has served as a member of the governing boards of John Burroughs School, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and BJC Healthcare System.
Mr. Wolff regularly counsels clients on best governance and fiduciary practices, including the application of the principles of Sarbanes-Oxley to nonprofit organizations. He also regularly advises on compensation for nonprofits, including the impact of Intermediate Sanctions rules to executive pay and benefits.
Since 1982 he has dealt with issues relating to the St. Louis Metropolitan Zoo Museum District and its members. He also regularly advises on the Missouri Open Meetings Law and related matters.
For many years, Mr. Wolff has been involved with the operation of the firm. He currently serves as Secretary of the Partnership. Previously, he served as the operations partner and prior to that role, he was leader of the corporate and transactional section of the firm. Mr. Wolff served on the firm’s five-person Management Committee both during his tenures as section leader and operations partner. As a result, he has substantial experience concerning the financial and administrative operation of professional firms. Based on this experience he has advised other professional firms on business and financial matters.
