Biography
As a member of the firm’s Private Client group, Elizabeth Schlesinger concentrates her practice on estate planning and administration, with a focus on wealth transfer tax planning, She assists individuals and families with sophisticated trust and estate planning, estate and gift tax matters, and trust and probate administration. She additionally assists closely-held business owners in developing and implementing intergenerational succession planning strategies.
Ms. Schlesinger handles the drafting of estate planning documents including medical directives, durable powers of attorney, wills and "pour-over" wills, and various trusts. She also drafts business succession documents, private loan and refinance documents, and basic real estate documents including private leases and various deeds. Ms. Schlesinger has experience establishing business entities such as LPs and LLCs and overseeing the administration of irrevocable trusts, estates, and probate.
While attending law school at Washington University in St. Louis, Ms. Schlesinger received the Dean’s Book Award and CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. She also served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law and Policy and participated in a variety of activities including the class gift committee and Outlaw.
