Biography

Deborah Menkins focuses her practice on education, immigration and employment law. She advises clients with respect to various education law matters, including the ADA/Section 504, FERPA, Title IX, Section 1983, special education, governmental immunity, sexual misconduct, open records and open meetings issues. Deborah also counsels clients on issues relating to wrongful discharge, employee discipline and dismissals, wage and hour disputes, discrimination and other employment matters. Finally, she helps clients with obtaining immigrant and nonimmigrant visas for prospective employees.

Deborah has given numerous presentations on various legal topics, including employment-based visas, charter schools and special education law, wrongful discharge, the Americans with Disabilities Act and performance evaluations.
