Biography
Deanna Davise Gorges is an associate in the Real Estate Department of the firm’s St. Louis office. She focuses her practice on commercial real estate matters, representing clients in connection with the acquisition, disposition, financing, development and leasing of a variety of asset classes including office, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and mixed use.
In particular, she focuses on commercial real estate transactions within the renewable energy sector. Deanna represents utilities in the acquisition of electric energy generating projects, including build-transfer transactions across the U.S. She also is experienced in advising national and regional financial institution investors and lenders in connection with such projects. During such representations, Deanna assists with management of all aspects of real estate diligence, including review and negotiation of leases, easements, and third-party crossing consents. She also conducts review of title and survey matters to identify material issues to be resolved prior to closing. Her approach demonstrates a high attention to detail, organization, and efficiency in client service.
Deanna also provides legal advice to clients in healthcare matters, with respect to a variety of both corporate transactional and real estate issues involving such entities as hospitals, and health systems, physician practices, ambulatory long term care facilities, and veterinary.
In addition to her active practice, Deanna is a passionate supporter of the firm's Race Equity Inclusion Network (“REIN”) where she enjoys helping coordinate networking events for the firm’s diverse lawyers. Deanna was also a summer associate with the firm in 2019 and 2020. During law school, she served as President of the Women’s Law Caucus.
