Biography

David has over 30 years’ experience in litigation and regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings. He has mainly represented financial institutions, including retail and investment banks, asset managers and insurance companies.

He has had a particular focus on the retail sector, having been involved in most of the major retail issues over the last 20-30 years (including pension-mis-selling, endowment mis-selling, split caps, PPI, packaged bank accounts, Equitable Life, annuities etc.). He has also been involved in every aspect of the enforcement process, including proceedings before the RDC and before the Upper Tribunal. David, however, is particularly client focused and solutions oriented and is always keen to think creatively, finding innovative solutions to complex issues.

David has extensive knowledge of the financial services sector after having worked at both the FSA and more recently the FCA where he joined as Interim General Counsel and Executive Director.
