Biography
Courtney Flannigan is an associate in the firm’s M&A and Corporate Finance group. Courtney’s practice includes advising clients on a variety of transactional issues, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, private equity investments and venture capital financing. Additionally, Courtney counsels companies on corporate governance, SEC reporting, formation, contractual and general business matters. She represents public and privately held companies across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, agribusiness, energy and professional services.
Courtney first joined the firm as a Summer Associate in the firm’s Kansas City office in 2018. She previously interned in the legal department at a national engineering firm.
Courtney received her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2019 with honors, and graduated with a B.S. in Marketing and International Business from Southwest Baptist University in 2012. While in law school, she served as a Research Editor for the UMKC Law Review, a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research and Writing, as well as the Director of the Business Law Association.
