Biography
Claire Lavarde acts as counsel and litigator in criminal, civil and commercial matters on behalf of French and international clients.
Claire also acts in regulatory litigation, in particular before the AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers), the ACPR (Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution), the AFA (French Anti-Corruption Agency) and the DGCCRF (General Directorate for Competition Policy, Consumers Affairs and Fraud Control), or in the implementation of internal investigations for French and international groups.
In particular, she has significant experience with financial institutions, which she assists in criminal proceedings (in matters of deceptive commercial practices or in cases of massive fraud or Ponzi schemes, for example) and advises on complex multi-jurisdictional issues (economic and financial sanctions, deployment of group KYC or information-sharing systems, etc.).
Claire also assists several digital platforms, both in litigation and in consulting, in particular in the fight against hateful content on the internet.
