Biography
Carly is a Senior Associate in BCLP’s top-ranking Real Estate Disputes Group. Since joining the firm as a trainee in 2011, she has gained a wealth of experience in a variety of contentious property matters. Carly has advised on numerous landlord and tenant issues, such as lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, dilapidations, forfeiture and break clauses. She also regularly advises on issues arising from common transactional documents such as agreements for sale/lease.
Carly is experienced in development-related advice, including rights of light, vacant possession strategy, restrictive covenants, easements and specific issues arising when developing with tenants in situ. Carly works closely with her transactional colleagues to provide risk mitigation strategies in order to avoid disputes from arising in the first place.
Carly is a member of the Property Litigation Association.
