BCLP Partner and Global Co-leader of International Arbitration, Pedro Martinez-Fraga, has been selected by the Executive Committee of the Court of Arbitration of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) to serve as a member of the SIAC Panel of Arbitrators.

SIAC is a global not-for-profit arbitral institution providing case management services to parties from all over the world and is widely regarded as the preferred arbitral institution in Asia-Pacific, as well as frequently featuring as one of the Top 3 arbitral institutions globally. SIAC was established in 1991 and administers both commercial and investment arbitrations under its own rules of arbitration and the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, with awards having been enforced in many jurisdictions including Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Thailand, UK, USA and Vietnam, amongst other New York Convention signatories.

As a member of the SIAC Panel of Arbitrators, Pedro Martinez-Fraga will join a distinguished international panel of over 600 expert arbitrators from over 40 jurisdictions. Mr. Martinez-Fraga also serves on the Advisory Council to the Restatement (Third) of International Commercial Arbitration of the American Law Institute and is a Presidential Appointee to the World Bank’s International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes. He was selected to teach the 2023 Special Course on private international law at The Hague Academy of International Law and is widely regarded as a leading practitioner in the field of international arbitration.
