Partner Shy Jackson presented with Outstanding Industry Collaboration Award
Oct 29, 2024BCLP Construction Disputes Partner, Shy Jackson, has been presented with the Outstanding Industry Collaboration Award by The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) and the Chartered Surveying Training Trust.
This is the first time that CICES have issued the award, which was presented to Shy Jackson in “recognition of the immense contribution and support give[n] to the institution.”
The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) is the leading international professional body for specialists in geospatial engineering and commercial management in infrastructure. Founded in 1969, CICES is now an internationally recognised qualifying body established to regulate, educate and train surveyors working within civil engineering and is also a registered educational charity promoting the profession throughout the world.
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, the professional body is present in over ten regions, including Europe, East Asia and the Middle East. Whilst in 2009, it was awarded a royal charter in recognition of its contribution to the construction industry and to society at large.
The award further demonstrates Shy's expertise in construction law, as he is also ranked by Lexology Index as a ‘Global Elite Thought Leader (Tier 1)’ for Construction and has been highlighted by Chambers & Partners UK (Construction: Contentious) for being “very knowledgeable” and having a “brain that is in a different league to anyone else.” Shy is also a Visiting Fellow at the Construction Law MSc course at King's College London and is a member of the NEC Contract Board.
