Partner featured on ‘ABA Business Law’ podcast on owner management case

Partner Sharon Weiss was featured June 7 on the ‘ABA Business Law’ podcast, where she joined Judge Elizabeth Gunn and discussed the substantive consolidation judgment that was achieved in the Owner Management Service (OMS) case. She also covered dangers of foreclosure scams, and the challenge in trying to unwind these types of businesses and identify estate assets. “They did not miss an opportunity to make money,” she said.

Sharon’s practice is focused in insolvency matters, including representation of secured and unsecured creditors, individual and corporate debtors, trustees, franchisors and officers and directors. She has served as lead trial counsel in bankruptcy and commercial litigation and has considerable experience in handling fraud litigation and bankruptcy appeals, which have resulted in published Ninth Circuit opinions.
