New BCLP partner Shivani Sanghi to speak at India ADR Week

New BCLP Business and Commercial Disputes partner, Shivani Sanghi, will be a featured speaker at this year's edition of India Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Week. Shivani will be speaking at two events, the first of which will be a panel discussion hosted by Trilegal on 23 September in Bangalore, which will cover “Arbitration of Shareholder Disputes.” The second panel discussion will be hosted by the Young Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration on 25th September and discuss “Judicial Activism versus Judicial Overreach”.

An expert in international arbitration and a frequent speaker in India on arbitration related issues, Shivani is widely regarded as a leading specialist in arbitration and is dual-qualified in India and England and Wales. Shivani began her career in India as a consultant advising on multi-party arbitration, anti-suit injunctions and other private international law matters, she also appeared as an advocate in the Delhi High Court and India’s Supreme Court.

Shivani has since obtained more than 15 years’ experience in strategically resolving complex, high-value, multi-stakeholder, cross-border Commercial Litigations and International Arbitrations. This includes managing concurrent proceedings in multiple jurisdictions - such as India, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Bulgaria, and the Balkan region - with key responsibility for developing global case strategy and delivering commercially driven outcomes for her clients.
