Los Angeles Counsel Tony Marks authored an article published March 31 on Forbes.com outlining details of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). “Among other things, the CARES Act is an unprecedented financial assistance package for small and mid-size businesses, including franchisors and franchisees,” he wrote. The article, written with assistance from BCLP Partners Michael Royle and Jason Werner and Associate Jim Havel, addresses what businesses should do now; the expanded SBA Section 7(a) loan program and the SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan program; and other business-favorable elements of the CARES Act.
