BCLP Law Clerk Ryan Fitzpatrick and Partners Cory Smith and George Chen authored an article published Aug. 3 by Law360 on a recent decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which discusses important details regarding how joint inventorship is determined. “In its May 2 HIP Inc. v. Hormel Foods Corp. opinion, the Federal Circuit reviewed a U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware decision that determined David Howard of HIP Inc. was a joint inventor of a patent owned by Hormel Foods Corp.,” they wrote.
