Partner Edward Coulson, Senior Associate Andrew Leitch, and Associate Ben Bolderson authored an article published June 15 in Global Competition Litigation Review (GCLR) that examines the collective proceedings regime for competition claims in England and Wales, which is developing rapidly. The article, titled “A Certified Muddle: the Costs of Collective Proceedings” analyses the Competition Appeal Tribunal’s approach to costs at the certification stage and proposes five refinements to develop the Tribunal’s  approach. It is the first article of its kind to analyse costs in collective proceedings.

The team have also published a separate article on our website analyzing the Competition Appeal Tribunal’s approach to costs in collective proceedings.
