BCLP Senior Associate Rachel Ziegler commented on a recent, high-profile UK Supreme Court decision, Lloyd v Google, which saw Google prevail against a class action for data breaches. Rachel spoke to Commercial Dispute Resolution (CDR), first published Nov. 10, on the enormity of the decision and its implications, pointing out that “data controllers will see this as good news, but it is not possible to say that the door is totally shut to future actions of this sort.”

Rachel was recently elected to BCLP partnership, effective Jan. 1, 2022.
