BCLP was mentioned in Law360 on its representation of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) regarding a dispute brought by a Rutgers University basketball player over game suspension for sports-wagering violations.

The NCAA is a nonprofit organization regulating student athletics among 1,100 schools in the United States, and one in Canada. Earlier this month, a Rutgers University basketball player contested a 15-game suspension issued on Jan. 31, 2024, for sports-wagering violations that occurred during the player’s time at Iowa State University. A settlement has been successfully reached with any pending motions terminated.

The BCLP team was headed by Litigation & Investigations Partner Courtney J. Peterson.
