We mourn the loss of our trusted partner, friend and colleague Rob Ebert, who died May 31 after a long battle with cancer. A partner in our Litigation & Investigations Department, Rob was based in our St. Louis office and had a profound impact on all those with whom he worked. He was beloved by colleagues and clients alike.

Rob was the embodiment of commitment to our firm, our clients and the community. He began his career with us as a summer associate in 1986 and was hired fulltime the following year. His litigation practice included general business and commercial litigation and product liability litigation both locally and nationally. His experience included a broad spectrum of all types of commercial and product liability disputes. He also represented professional teams, owners and professional athletes in high-profile litigation and arbitrations involving contract disputes and league-imposed sanctions. Recently, he was a driving force behind the years-long effort to bring Major League Soccer to St. Louis. In addition, Rob proudly served on the Board of World Wide Technology.

At BCLP he served through the years in various key roles, including as a feedback partner, as chair of the Recruiting Committee, as deputy group leader of our legacy Commercial Litigation Practice, in addition to serving on our legacy Compensation Committee, the BCLP Partner Remuneration Committee, and on both the Operating Group (2003-2007) and Executive Committee (2012-2018). He truly represented our very best and will be dearly missed.

Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences are with his loving family, including his wife Darla, four children Ashley, Robert, Brendon and Wyatt, and his grandsons Henry and Peter.
