Partner Angelia Duncan was featured April 8 by the Charlotte Business Journal for her new role as managing partner of the Charlotte office. Duncan takes over as the firm is implementing its long-term strategic plan of growth and advancement, with the Charlotte office poised to expand. “Charlotte plays a really critical role in our plan – one because of the interest in growing our presence in the Southeast, but also because we have some large clients that are based in Charlotte,” Duncan told the publication. “I think there is a large focus on Charlotte, making sure that we can grow the office smartly and strategically so that we can better serve our clients.” On being offered the managing partner position at 36 years old, Duncan said she was willing to take on the role in large part thanks to her colleagues in the Charlotte office, saying “I am a young partner in the firm being given this opportunity with people in my corner saying we want you to do this and we want to help you succeed.”
