Chambers 2025 UK guide ranks BCLP in 34 practice areas and recognises 74 individual lawyers

In the Chamber 2025 UK Guide released today, BCLP received 34 practice area rankings and 74 individual lawyer rankings.

 

The firm retained all five Band 1 rankings in the following practices:

  • Planning
  • Real Estate Litigation
  • Real Estate: £150m and above
  • Asset Finance: Rail Finance
  • Transportation – Rail: Rolling Stock

 

BCLP’s Competition Law: Private Enforcement practice was elevated to a Band 2 ranking. Clients noted that BCLP have “a talented group of lawyers who always see the bigger commercial picture and deliver great client service,” and that “the team is very hard-working, bright, proactive and strategically very skillful.”

The firm’s Banking Litigation practice also upgraded to Band 2. Clients highlighted that BCLP “is readily able and capable to handle complex and sophisticated matters”, and that the team “provides in-depth advice which is always spot-on, the subject knowledge and ability to answer questions in real time is impressive.”

BCLP’s individually recognized lawyer rankings include five improved recognitions. These include Edward Coulson for his work in Competition Law: Litigation, Carol Osborne for Commercial Contracts, Gareth Stringer for Construction: Non-Contentious, Oran Gelb for Banking Litigation, and Catherine Turner for Employment.

 

10 lawyers also received new rankings for outstanding work in their respective practice areas:

  1. Mark Richards - Projects: Mainly Domestic
  2. Polly James - Financial Services: Contentious Regulation (corporates) and Financial Services: Contentious Regulation (individuals)
  3. Oran Gelb - Financial Services: Contentious
  4. David Rundle - Financial Services: Contentious
  5. Andrew Tuson - Banking Litigation
  6. Victoria Blanchard - Real Estate Litigation
  7. Andrew Street - Sport
  8. Emma Perring - Planning
  9. Charlotte Tullis - Hotels and Leisure
  10. Deborah Boddy - Transport: Rail
