International law firm BCLP has advised London-based early stage investor Northzone in a financing round for Berlin-based food delivery service Flink SE. Berlin Partner Dr. Albrecht von Breitenbuch was the lead partner on this transaction.

Northzone was founded in Oslo in 1996. The investor provides venture capital, especially in the early stages of a venture, and works with the founders on a long-term basis. Northzone has made more than 150 investments to date in Europe and the USA and raised more than 1.5 billion euros.

Due to its rapid growth, the food delivery service Flink, which was only founded in December 2020, was able to raise approximately 200 million euros from Northzone and other investors. The company will use the fresh capital to accelerate its growth, meanwhile being present in 22 German cities as well as in the Netherlands and Paris.

The BCLP team led by von Breitenbuch regularly advises Northzone on investments in Germany, including investments in Outfittery, TIER, Forto, Klang Games and Personio. From BCLP’s Berlin office, von Breitenbuch has built a growing practice in the area of technology companies and venture capital investors and leads this practice area for BCLP in Germany. Berlin Associate Patrycja Dorniak supported him on this transaction.
