International law firm BCLP advised real estate company Allianz Real Estate on the sale of the office building "An der Alster 42" in Hamburg to Macquarie Asset Management and MAPFRE. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The six-story office building in Hamburg's St. Georg district has approximately 6,000 square meters of lettable space and offers excellent connections to local transportation. The barrier-free building built in 2018 was awarded the highest prize of the German Sustainable Building Council, the prestigous DGNB Gold Award, for its sustainability standard. The building features a landscaped courtyard, a roof terrace, underground and outdoor parking, changing rooms and showers.

The two investment companies Macquarie Asset Management and MAPFRE jointly manage a real estate fund that has invested in office buildings in major European cities since 2019. This transaction is the second in Hamburg.

The Berlin-based Real Estate Team from BCLP was led by Partner Carsten Bremer, supported by Counsel Dr. Kirsten-Inger Wöhrn. The sale was brokered by Jones Lang LaSalle. The buyer side was advised by Linklaters, CBRE and Ernst & Young.
