BCLP was mentioned in Law360 on its representation of Berry Global Group Inc. in its merger with Glatfelter Corp. in a $3.6 billion deal meant to create a publicly traded specialty materials business.

Packaging solutions company Berry will bring a portfolio of proprietary technologies focused on healthcare, hygiene and "specialty end markets” to engineered materials business Glatfelter. The deal will create a “leading global competitor” in the specialty materials industry, the companies said — providing for geographic diversification with a presence in major markets and the ability to scale resources to increase innovation. The deal is expected to close during the second half of this year.

The BCLP team was led by M&A and Corporate Finance Partner Louis C. Spelios.
