BCLP’s Employment & Labor Practice gets boost with new partner
Jan 17, 2024International law firm BCLP announced today that R. Nelson Williams has joined the firm as a Partner in the St. Louis office. Nelson joins the Employment & Labor Practice.
Nelson is a highly regarded and experienced employment and labor lawyer who represents employers in a broad range of employment law and litigation matters. In his more than 13 years of practice, Nelson developed broad specialties in employment-related matters. He has defended numerous class and conditional certification actions under the FLSA and state law, including class litigation for both small and multinational companies, resulting in significant wins for his clients. He also has rare experience in litigating union grievances, having defended several companies across the United States in the manufacturing, distribution and agriculture industries.
“I am excited to join BCLP and to start working with my new colleagues in St. Louis and across the firm’s global platform,” Nelson added. “BCLP is a truly special firm, and its deep bench provides endless opportunities for premier client service. I look forward to leading our St. Louis Employment & Labor Team.”
Nelson has successfully tried cases in both federal and state courts and has a track record of success in arbitrations before JAMS and the AAA. He has also appeared and argued in multiple courts, including before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in 2016, as well as the Ohio and California Courts of Appeal.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nelson to BCLP,” said Partner and Global Practice Group Leader – Employment & Labor, Mary Margaret (“Mimi”) Moore. “Nelson’s credentials and experience are notable additions to our comprehensive employment and labor capabilities, adding additional depth to our global Employment & Labor Team.”
