Partnering with Clients, Novel New Program – BCLP Podium – Launches in New York and London in Connection with International Women’s Day

International law firm BCLP today unveiled BCLP Podium, an exclusive and first-of-its-kind leadership communications program in the legal industry, which brings together the next generation of female lawyers from BCLP and its clients to help enhance their communications skills and advance their careers.

Over 12 weeks, this program pairs BCLP lawyers with clients around the globe in small groups to master the most impactful aspects of communications. Developed and delivered in partnership with leading communications agency Ginger, the training and coaching modules of BCLP Podium focus on harnessing the power of storytelling and thought leadership for lawyers in global organizations.

The inaugural class of US and European-based participants for BCLP Podium includes 12 female Partners from BCLP and 12 female lawyers from Bayer, BT, Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, Emerson, Enterprise, and National Grid. In connection with International Women’s Day, this transatlantic program will kick-off on March 7 in BCLP’s London and New York offices. The program will culminate with a final showcase presentation in May where participants will each deliver a 10-minute inspirational talk to a live audience.

BCLP Co-Chair Lisa Mayhew, one of only a few women currently leading a global law firm, described the importance of BCLP Podium: “We were determined to do something different this year – action and concrete intervention. Not just supportive words. Making concrete investments in the next generation of female leaders is paramount to our profession, and we’re proud to be partnering with our clients around the globe on this important journey.”

“We are delighted to collaborate with our clients and colleagues to help overcome the barriers that often stand in the way of true inclusion and equity,” said Daisy Reeves, BCLP’s Global Inclusion & Diversity Client Relationship Partner. “BCLP Podium sets us on our way, where we can share the true transformative power of communications with a group of trailblazing future women leaders in the industry.”

Ginger’s CEO, Sarah Lloyd-Hughes, said: “This is a ground-breaking opportunity to put women’s voices and thought leadership at the heart of the legal industry’s future. The commitment of BCLP and their partners to this exciting journey is extremely impressive, and we are excited to see what topics the participants choose to champion."
