Sep 26, 2022BCLP Financial Regulation partners Polly James and Daniel Csefalvay will present at the Consumer Protection in Financial Services Summit, set for Sept. 29 in London.
Polly will be joined by David Blunt, former Head of Conduct Specialists at Financial Conduct Authority, to discuss the potential regulatory consequences of breaching the FCA’s new Consumer Duty rules and how firms can avoid the pitfalls.
Daniel will moderate the crypto panel “How great a risk does crypto pose to consumers and what can be done to protect them?” He will be joined by Ian Taylor, Executive Director at CryptoUK and On Yavin, Managing Partner at Cointelligence Fund. BCLP is sponsoring the event.
The Consumer Protection in Financial Services Summit will provide detailed guidance on how firms can achieve the “paradigm shift” needed to implement the cross-cutting rules and achieve the four required outcomes under the FCA’s new Consumer Duty rules, which come into force from July 2023 (with most firms’ implementation plans needing to be signed off by 31 October 2022). The Summit will bring together regulators and financial services firms to share insights into how to ensure you deliver good outcomes for consumers at every stage to avoid costly consequences.
