BCLP Construction Disputes partner, Shy Jackson, will be a featured speaker at this year's edition of the International Built Environment Week (IBEW) Conference. The event will be held from 4 to 6 September 2024 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore.

Shy’s session on  4 September will focus on "The Collaboration Playbook: How Successful Projects Adopt a Partnership Mindset to Achieve On Time, On Target, On Profit Projects." Shy, along with the other panellists, will discuss the benefits of collaborative contracting, the NEC4 contracts and how a partnership approach ensures a win-win situation for every partner in the construction value chain.

A frequent speaker and author on NEC contracts, Shy is widely regarded as a leading specialist in the field and is highlighted in Chambers & Partners for “know[ing] NEC contracts back to front." In 2020, Shy was appointed as a member of the NEC Contract Board in recognition of his experience in advising on the NEC contract and his involvement in projects using NEC. 

The 6th edition of the IBEW Conference, which is hosted by Singapore’s Building & Construction Authority, holds the theme “Solving for Tomorrow, Today” and will bring together leading experts, practitioners and companies from around the world. In 2024, the whole of IBEW is expected to attract some +10,000 attendees and delegates from across the global built environment community.
