BCLP Partner George Chen recently joined a panel discussion at the ABA Real Property Trust & Estate Law Section’s Virtual CLE Conference, exploring the evolving landscape of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) following Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. Harvard and Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. University of North Carolina.

Titled “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Aftermath of Students for Fair Admissions, Inc.,” the panel provided an in-depth review of these landmark cases, related executive orders, and their ongoing impact on DEI efforts across the legal industry. George alongside fellow panelists discussed how law firms, corporations, and organizations are adapting, highlighting both existing initiatives and new approaches to support the current and future legal workforce.

A nationally recognized intellectual property lawyer, George litigates high-stakes IP disputes and oversees the management and prosecution of complex IP portfolios. He has been recognized by Chambers (Band 1) for intellectual property and by Best Lawyers in America as the “Lawyer of the Year” in multiple categories, including Intellectual Property Litigation, Patent Law, and Copyright Law in Phoenix. George has served as a member of the ABA House of Delegates and currently serves on the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession and the ABA Task Force on the Law and Artificial Intelligence. He is also a candidate for District 11 on the ABA Board of Governors.
