BCLP Lawyers Recognized by ‘Missouri Lawyers Media’ for Diversity & Inclusion
Aug 03, 2022Partner Reggie Harris and Associate Grace Colato Martinez have been recognized by Missouri Lawyers Media as 2022 winners of its Diversity & Inclusion Awards.
Missouri Lawyers Media annually recognizes attorneys, judges, firms and organizations that are significantly advancing diversity, inclusion and the dignity of all people in Missouri’s legal profession and in communities in which exceptional legal work impacts justice for all.
Reggie is a member of BCLP’s White Collar & Investigations Practice and serves on the firm’s Recruiting Committee. Prior to joining the firm, Reggie served as executive assistant U.S. attorney. In that role he developed and implemented strategies related to the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Neighborhoods and heroin and opioid initiatives in the Eastern District of Missouri. Reggie built and nurtured coalitions within federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to create and execute plans to combat violent crime and reduce opioid abuse and overdoses in St. Louis, Mo. He also directed the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s Civil Rights Program, serving as the lead counsel on major civil rights prosecutions.
Grace practices with the Business and Commercial Disputes Practice Group, representing clients that range from multinational corporations to middle-market companies, small businesses and nonprofits across a variety of industries. Before joining BCLP, Grace served as a law clerk for the Hon. Stephen R. Bough and the Hon. Willie J. Epps Jr. of the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri. Grace serves as chair of the UMKC Law School Diverse Alumni Network and is the vice president of the Hispanic Bar Association of Greater Kansas City.
