BCLP Lawyers Author Article in ‘Insights’ on Security Incidents
May 05, 2022BCLP Partners Amy de La Lama, Christian Auty and Daniel Rockey and Associate Logan Parker authored an article published in the April edition of Insights concerning the security incident response process, which inevitably brings a myriad of challenges for a company unfortunate enough to experience one. “To implement the Dos and Don’ts, we recommend that companies work these principles into their Incident Response Plan and disseminate them to the incident response team at the outset of every incident response effort,” they wrote.
Amy is the chair of the firm’s Global Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Team. She specializes in global privacy, data security and cyber security and provides advice to a wide range of multinational pharmaceutical and medical device companies, retail companies, online businesses, B2B companies and other types of organizations regarding these issues.
Christian is a leader of BCLP’s US Global Data Privacy & Security Team. He has led engagements with hundreds of companies in diverse industries. Christian works side-by-side with clients to navigate complex, intersecting data privacy and security regimes, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, the GDPR, HIPAA and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
Daniel is the co-leader of the firm’s Data Privacy, Telecommunications & Collections Class Action Team and represents companies in the technology and sharing economy sectors, focusing on class action defense and other complex commercial litigation matters, regulatory counseling and investigations, and privacy and data security matters.
Logan serves as a privacy adviser to business clients across a variety of industries and provides strategic and legal guidance on data privacy issues. He regularly counsels his clients on legal matters that include privacy, cybersecurity, technology, IT contracts, the internet, big data and cross-border data transfers.
