BCLP Senior Counsel Jerry M. Hunter was quoted Sept. 8 by Law360 concerning the National Labor Relation Board’s (NLRB) chief prosecutor recently telling the agency's regional offices to seek "full remedies" for violations of federal labor law, such as requiring companies to pay workers for losses beyond wages and benefits, expanding union access, and seeking reimbursements of collective-bargaining expenses. Litigation over the new remedies is all but inevitable, Hunter noted. "Some of these extreme remedies that the new Democratic board dreams up will definitely end up in a court of appeals or even the U.S. Supreme Court,” said Hunter, a former NLRB general counsel who served during the administration of former President George H.W. Bush.
