BCLP Senior Counsel Jerry Hunter was quoted Dec.16 by Law360 concerning the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) issuing a new precedent, likely instituting more union-friendly reads on key labor law issues in the culmination of a winding process. Hunter noted unions are likely filing cases implicating the precedents General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo has highlighted in various memos, providing numerous cases to choose from. Still, given the volume of doctrines she's aiming to challenge, she may have to settle for imperfect vehicles in some cases, he said. "She may be willing to take some cases that are not totally on all fours, but as long as it presents the main issue, I think that's what they will be looking for," Hunter said. Hunter is a former NLRB general counsel who served during the administration of President George H.W. Bush.
