International law firm BCLP has announced the appointment of Heiko Stoll as a partner, leading the Tax team in Germany.

He will be part of the Corporate & Finance Transactions team, joining from GSK Stockmann. Based in BCLP’s Frankfurt office, his appointment continues the team’s expansion in Germany. 

Heiko is a lawyer and tax advisor with over 20 years’ experience in all areas of national and international tax. His focus is on acquisition finance, structured finance (both transactional and advisory), tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, cross-border tax planning and corporate restructuring. Further, Heiko is highly accomplished with regard to the structuring and tax optimization for closed-ended and open-ended funds and in this context regularly provides tax advice and tax due diligence to fund investors.

He also advises on German inbound real estate investments and real estate finance. Heiko’s main clients include banks, fund sponsors and large corporate and international financial institutions. Prior to joining GSK Stockmann, he led Simmons & Simmons' banking and finance practice in Germany from 2013 until mid-2019, which enjoys a good reputation in Frankfurt.
