BCLP is proud to announce it received the Race Equality and LGBT+ Initiative of the Year Awards (a multi-firm initiative) at The Women and Diversity in Law 2025. Partner Rebecca Campbell was also highly commended for Disputes Lawyer of the Year.

The Race Equality of the Year Award recognized BCLP’s ‘Stop the Talent Leak’ report, created in partnership with Diverse Talent Networks. The report investigated the lived experiences of South Asian partners in the UK and identified practical measures law firms could take to support and bolster South Asian talent in the legal industry.

The LGBT+ Initiative of the Year Award recognized BCLP's role in creating ‘The LLP’ alongside five other law firms, with Daisy Reeves as the sole partner sitting on the faculty and involved in crafting the initiative. The LLP, a two-day program by the City of London Law Society, brought together LGBTQ+-identifying lawyers from over 20 firms to develop leadership skills, connect with peers, and raise over £30,000 for LGBTQ+ charities. The other firms involved in the faculty of 5 are Linklaters, Addleshaw Goddard, Norton Rose Fulbright, Herbert Smith Freehills and Travers Smith. Due to its success, the program will run again in 2025.

Partner Rebecca Campbell was highly commended for Disputes Lawyer of the Year for her high-quality legal work, multiple strategic wins for a wide-range of clients, and her dedication to increasing the representation of women in the legal field.

Jinal Shah, UK Managing Partner at BCLP, commented, “Supporting our colleagues to feel a sense of belonging, at the firm and beyond, continues to be a key priority for us and remains at the very core of our firm. We’re proud that two of our most prominent initiatives from last year have received the recognition they deserve, showcasing BCLP’s inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.”

Hosted by The Global Legal Post, The Women and Diversity in Law Awards celebrate legal professionals, businesses and not-for-profits across the UK, who are helping to make a positive impact.
